Implants
An implant is an artificial tooth root made up of titanium that is surgically positioned into jaw bone where tooth/teeth are lost either due to carries, any injury or due to permanent disease.
An implant consist of 3 parts:
1) Titanium post/ screw that is placed surgically into the jaw bone where tooth is lost.
2) An implant abonnement that is placed on the top of the titanium post visible in oral cavity.
3) A dental prosththetre either a tooth, bridge or feature which is attached to the abutment.
